You may think it would be tough talking to someone about their mental health, but it’s really not that bad. Firstly, you don’t have to diagnose them. If they don’t seem to be themselves, just mention it and point out what you’ve noticed. Maybe they seem tired all the time, or a bit down or worried. It could be anything.
The other thing that makes these conversations easier than you may have thought is that you don’t have to fix them. You’re a support for them and hopefully you can encourage them to see some professional help.
So remember, it’s just a casual chat, but it can change someone’s life. Maybe even save it.
