Mental illness is an equal opportunity employer. It can get any of us at any time. Dwayne the Rock Johnson, Buddy Franklin, Joey Johns, Jimmy Barnes, Libby Trickket, Layne Beachley and even Sir Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln all suffered at some stage.
It’s not a sign that you are weak, just that you are ill. And illnesses can be beaten. So if a mate is having a rough time, be kind. There’s a good chance that next year, it could be you.
