It may sound hard to ask someone if they are thinking about suicide, but it’s a hell of a lot easier than attending their funeral. You need to ask directly with a question such as, “Are you thinking about suicide?” or “Are you thinking about killing yourself?” It’s just not something you can beat around the bush with.

And if you’re worried that it may push them to take their life, don’t be. Research proves that you’re a lot better to ask a mate than to ignore them.
